Privacy practices

This page explains how Bridge City Orthodontics handles information collected through this website. It is separate from our Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP), which governs protected health information (PHI) created or maintained as part of your care. Effective date: [INSERT DATE].

What we collect through this website

Our website is designed to collect as little as possible. If you submit a request through our consultation or contact form, we collect only the basics you provide — such as your name, email, phone number, preferred contact method, patient type, and a preferred appointment window — so we can respond and schedule your visit. We do not ask for medical details, symptoms, treatment history, photos, or insurance ID numbers through our website forms, and we ask that you not include that information online.

How we use it

We use the information you submit only to respond to your request, schedule or confirm a visit, and communicate with you about your inquiry. We do not sell your information.

Service providers

We use trusted service providers to operate our website and process form submissions on our behalf. These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide those services.

Analytics and tracking

At launch, our website does not use advertising pixels, session-replay tools, or marketing analytics that capture the contents of form fields. Basic, privacy-respecting server and content-delivery logs may be used to keep the site secure and reliable. If we add analytics in the future, we will do so in a way that does not transmit your form-field values or health-related details, and we will update this page.

Cookies

We aim to use only the cookies necessary for the website to function. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles.

Your health information and the NPP

Information related to your actual care — appointments, records, and treatment — is protected health information and is handled under HIPAA and our Notice of Privacy Practices, not this website policy. You can request a copy of our Notice of Privacy Practices from our office at any time.

Children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect information directly from children through this site. Parents or guardians may contact us to schedule care for a minor.

Changes

We may update this page from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised effective date.
